After work, with only 3 of the 5 kids home today, and the Mother of Five on her way to work, I grabbed the kids and we took off for some Geocaching!

I had child #2, #4 & #5 with me this afternoon.

This was our 4th cache of the day.
We found a total of 5 out of 6 for the afternoon!

THIS WAS OUR "DNF" CACHE...

Child #5 started the "pee-pee-dance" and so it made finding the cache a bit more challenging (or so I tell myself...)

Will be back to try again!!

After work, with only 3 of the 5 kids home today, and the Mother of Five on her way to work, I grabbed the kids and we took off for some Geocaching!

This was our 3rd cache of the day.

I came at this one from the BACK SIDE (I did not use the parking lot coordinates). We went up the hill from our parking spot after finishing GC1FNK1 (6th Street Walking Trail)

We found a total of 5 out of 6 for the afternoon!

The kids all traded items, while Dad logged the visit!

** NOTE: It may have been just fine, but I did not feel comfortable parking on the street. I traveled a bit further to the NE end of the road. YMMV...

This was the last of ten caches #1 of 5 and I visited today.

I had to drop my car off for some transmission work, and since we both had the day off, I needed some "down time" after the RNC Assignment, and #1 of 5 needed something to keep him busy today, we ran around Bloomington grabbing up a few caches!

This cache also contained a Travel Bug! This Travel Bug is the Cache Ninja - Blue Travel Bug (TB1F8W9). Unfortunately, the Blue Cache Ninja was injured... He had SEVERED LEGS to be exact...

I will be sure Blue Ninja gets some good R&R time camping in northern Minnesota during an upcoming camping trip!

On a side note, this was the first cache I visited that contained a Travel Bug! What is a Travel Bug? A Travel Bug is a track-able item that someone grabs out of one cache, and drops off in another. The movements of the Travel Bugs are logged at Geocaching.com.

I picked up the Eagle Travel Bug, that has been on the move since August 28, 2004 - where it started it's journey in the Netherlands! How cool is it that it has made it's way here, to Bloomington, Minnesota??!?!?
